Kayla is the Director of Member Experience for Eagleclaw Football Club. In this role,  Kayla is singularly focused on ensuring that each player and club family has a superior sporting experience. Player development at Eagleclaw is an important journey leading to many possible soccer destinations.  Kayla’s commitment is ensuring the “quality of the ride” for each player’s unique journey.  She helps support and advocate for all members within the club. From the moment a player and family joins Eagleclaw FC, Kayla works to ensure the experience is at a superior level of engagement, education and fun, exceeding hopes and expectations. She also works closely with the Executive Director and Director of Coaching to help create solutions for any and all concerns Club members may have.

 

Kayla is a former collegiate soccer player. She began playing at a young age in Washington where she was recognized and recruited to play at Trinity Lutheran College for four years on a soccer scholarship. Kayla began her coaching journey right out of college working alongside her father, Darren Sawatzky, who is currently Head Coach of the Richmond Kickers playing in USL League One. Working with her father, Kayla experienced the joys of helping develop young soccer players and the importance of providing a high quality education in a high quality environment.

 

Kayla is also the Head Coach of the Girls 06/7 Advanced Academy and the Girls 08/9 Primary Academy teams.
