Great players have masterful control of the ball.  It's called technical skill, and you either have it or you don't.  But technical skill can be taught.  At Eagleclaw, we believe a a lack of technical skills training at the youngest ages is why the the U.S. is not developing world class players.  (Click here to read more about our view on this subject.)  That's why every player in our Primary Academy receives two hours of technical instruction each week, under the watchful eye of the talented coaches of Coerver Coaching NW.

The secret to the Coerver method is teaching sharp footwork and expert ball control by breaking down each move into components and then progressing players until their technique is razor sharp.  Once a move is mastered, players learn to do them even quicker, at game speed.  The key is focused repetition. Soon, complex footwork soon becomes instinctive, and a dangerous player is born.

The program features the same Coerver technical instruction enjoyed by Eagleclaw players in our full Academy program.  All training is conducted by the talented training staff of Coerver Coaching NW.
